Who’s Tricia?
"Her technical authoring skills and earnest libertarian
lactation advocacy proved invaluable to me." – former co-worker
Have a
baby, quit corporate job, do stand-up comedy, breastfeed, homeschool. Aren’t
those things on everyone’s to-do list? Comic, video blogger, technical writer
and editor, and former English teacher, Tricia Shore, is, according to keen
comic observer and former “All Washed Up” producer, Christy Murphy : “everyone’s
favorite mom.” Well, among the tattooed mom crowd, perhaps.
Whether
she’s being rejected by the Laugh Factory because she was breastfeeding her then
three-month old son or keeping her children far from a public school, Tricia is
not your average mom. Her quirky sense of humor appeals to grown women who are
still obsessed with Star Wars and occasionally, some other group of the equally
disenfranchised.
Voted “wittiest” by Mrs. Jernigan’s eighth grade class,
Tricia will have you ROFLOL before the dryer cycle finishes. Her observations on
everyday life as a mom prove that a math degree can be quite valuable. To wit,
her famous polynomial equation: Love + Lust + Liquor = Honda Odyssey.
You can
see Tricia work out her material weekly at that fabulous weight room of comedy,
Canoga Park Bowl, where talent oozes all the way into Thousand Oaks.
